OGold and BELOBABA Announce Partnership to Integrate Physical Gold and Silver into Digital Financial Services

OGold, the UAE's Shariah-compliant platform powered by gold and silver, and BELOBABA, the global financial services platform, have announced a strategic partnership aimed at integrating physical precious metals into BELOBABA's digital financial ecosystem, allowing users to access, own and manage gold and silver more flexibly.

Under the partnership, BELOBABA users will be able to buy and sell gold and silver per gram directly from their account balances, with holdings physically backed by precious metals, fully allocated to the customer and insured, with the ability to request physical receipt of gold or silver.

The partnership is part of OGold's plans for international expansion, by making its precious metals infrastructure available to the global BELOBABA community, which includes more than 12,000 members in more than 40 countries.

BELOBABA provides a full range of financial services including multi-jurisdictional accounts, payment cards, international transfers, digital assets, investment solutions, as well as corporate-oriented financial services.

According to the partnership, the service does not impose a mandatory retention period or separate fees for purchases and sales, with the possibility of selling holdings at any time and receiving their corresponding value in US dollars. It also allows for physical metal pick-up requests, with delivery within the UAE.

Bandar Al-Othman, founder of OGold, said the partnership represents an important step in the company's international growth journey, explaining that the integration of its precious metals infrastructure into the BELOBABA ecosystem makes the gold and silver actually supported available to a wider user base around the world.

Louis Mas Loque, Founder and Chairman of BELOBABA, said that the integration of OGold into the platform allows the company's global community to hold real assets along with banking, payments, digital assets and investments, in an integrated financial experience.

Serving a community of more than 1.5 million users, OGold now allows digital gold and silver ownership starting from one AED 1, while supporting digital holdings with physical precious metals stored in secured vaults, and has been accredited by the Al Huda Center for Islamic Banking and Economics to ensure its transactions are Shariah-compliant.

The partnership reflects a growing trend towards integrating real assets, especially gold and silver, into digital financial platforms, linking payments services, banking, digital assets and stores of physical value into a single financial ecosystem.
